May 4, 2009 - Caleb's 2nd
birthday is coming soon (just a few days). his favorite things these days
are bouncing basketball, any kind of transportation (helicopters, buses, bulldozers,
tractors, motorcycles), listening to annie the musical, our
7-yr-old neighbor Ben, reading his thomas the
train book, riding his trike (see video),
counting , and saying his abcs (see video).
April 7, 2009 - we think Caleb
might grow up to be a dancer . . .
March 27, 2009 - we're through
spring break now and headed into the final month of the semester, which
means that we are completely swamped. over break, Cale and Trish spent a few days in maryland
with Trish's family and Cale played with his
cousins and went to an aquarium and to a play-gym called pump-it-up. Jason
did yard work. Cale's favorite things right now
are: basketball, water, bugs, and transportation (buses, planes,
motorcycles, bulldozers - or as he says "bullsoders").

March 7, 2009 - this update is a
little late but we got snow last weekend. it
didn't last long. big thick flakes in the morning
(enough to build a good snowman) and then a cozy midday nap, and then
everything was melted. it was the first real snow
that Cale experienced in his home town. here are some pics (ps - it's 75 degrees today and Jason played tennis and
got a sunburn).

February 14, 2009 - happy Valetine's Day! we had a
wonderful day today (and we hope you did too). Jason and Tricia had a
romantic dinner together (with chocolates) and Caleb had dinner and treats
with his Scoma! yesterday,
on his 21-month bday, Cale
also had a v-day party with his classmates (he got them each a tub of play-doh) and he got valentine's wishes from all his
favorites people, including from his cousins Julian and Justin. see some pics from the weekend

January 17, 2009 - happy 2009! we had a wonderful holiday season spending Christmas at
home and then spending the new year with family (and we saw snow, see pics). we're back in school
now and looking forward to our next break. Caleb turned 20 months earlier
this week and he might just be the most awesome child ever born (we think
so anyway). he likes to talk on the phone to his Scoma, watch youtube, and
play with his cousins Justin and Julian.
