December 31, 2006 - We're home! After
2 weeks with family we finally arrived back home last night. We had
wonderful visits in both Michigan and Maryland and were very happy to spend Christmas with our
families. Tricia was able to see our nephews open presents (see pics) and Jason was able to see Heart and Soul (see pic). Tonight we'll celebrate our own Christmas + New
Year's and tomorrow we'll watch bowl games (Go Hogs!).

On a sad note, Talladega (the stray cat we "adopted") died yesterday.
We, along with our neighbors Jill and Chris, tried to nurse the little guy
back to health but were unsuccessful. Here's a pic
of Jill feeding Tal a snack.

December 25, 2006 - Merry Christmas!
Here's a copy of our Christmas card photo (in case yours hasn't arrived
yet).

December 15, 2006 - IT'S A BOY!! We learned today that we're having a baby
boy. He's 7 inches and 1/2 pounds (about the size of a cucumber) and very
active. Mommy-to-be is doing well: feeling happy, healthy, and hungry.
Below are pics of his first wave hello, mommy-to-be's belly, and mommy-to-be's
first baby shopping spree.

Also, today would be
Jason's mom and dad's 33rd anniversary. What a special day! Happy
anniversary mom (and soon to be grand-mom)!

December 13, 2006 - Here's a picture
of Jason and Trish lounging on the couch this evening with Emma (asleep).
We've spent the week grading papers and exams and tending to a stray cat
Jason picked up on the interstate near the Talladega Superspeedway.
Of course, we've named him Talladega and now he owns the garage (see pic
below). He's weak and malnourished so we're hopeful that some food will
help him regain his strength.

December 7, 2006 - Our semesters are
almost over (next week) and we're both looking forward to a nice, long
break. We'll spend a few days before Christmas in Michigan
and a few days after Christmas in Maryland. Our big news comes a week from tomorrow (on December
15) when we find out whether we're having a boy or a girl! Jason thinks girl
and Tricia thinks boy. Also, Jason spent last weekend in Atlanta at the SEC Championship game. Unfortunately, Arkansas
lost to Florida. Here's a pic:

November 23, 2006 - HAPPY
THANKSGIVING! We couldn't get back to Michigan or Maryland this year so we had Thanksgiving dinner at our house.
Jason baked a turkey and Tricia made potatoes. Now we're full and tired and
watching the Lions football game (all T-giving traditions). Below are some pics. You'll have to decide whether dinner or baby made
mommy-to-be's belly bigger...

PS - Arkansas
beat Mississippi State in Starkville and is headed to Atlanta for the SEC title game! I was lucky enough to see it
live.

|
|
November 12, 2006 - Tricia is headed
to Chicago this week for a conference and to see her uncle Henry
and aunt Betty. Jason is headed to Mississippi State University on Saturday to watch the Razorbacks try to clinch a
spot in the SEC title game. Nothing
new on the baby-front; mommy-to-be still feels grumpy, frumpy, lumpy, and
bumpy! See a recent pic of Emma and Ellie.

November
4, 2006 - We had our second prenatal check-up this week and
everything went well. Our growing
baby is about the size of a matchbox car and the heartbeat is strong. Mommy-to-be isn't showing yet . . . but should
be soon. We learn the sex of the
baby in mid-December so we've started thinking of both boy and girl names
(and we even have a short list of ones we like!).

October
18, 2006 - It's been a busy week but Fall break has arrived
(finally). Trish is headed to Baltimore to see her family and pick up our wedding pictures
(yes, 16 months later). Jason is
playing golf on Friday and watching Arkansas/Ole-Miss and Alabama/Tennessee
on Saturday (and hoping the Arkansas game isn't as nerve-racking as last week's Alabama/Ole
Miss game - see pic). FYI, our tiny baby is now the size of a
peanut shell.

October
10, 2006 - We're still excited, but our excitement is now starting to
mix with fear/nervousness/anxiety/disbelief, etc. We're also thinking of baby names . . .
. Mommy-to-be is doing well,
occasionally nauseous but trying to eat regularly. Daddy-to-be is supportive and patient
(mostly). Our next big appointment
is mid-December.

|
October
2, 2006 - Our first ultrasound was this afternoon and everything
looked great (see below)! At 7.5
weeks our tiny baby is 16 mm long (about the size of a gummy bear) and has
a very strong heartbeat (165 beats/minute).
Due date is May 17 (Jason's birthday).

October
1, 2006 - Jason was in Gainesville this past weekend for the Alabama/Florida game at The
Swamp. The Tide lost but everything
else about the trip was great: great food, great weather, great
tail-gating, great college town, great stadium, and a great time with
friends. Here's a pic from the game:

September
8, 2006 - Guess who's pregnant . . . WE ARE! We're VERY excited! We're also headed to College Station, TX to visit Tricia's friends Mandy and Brian this afternoon
so it's an eventful day. We're all
going to the TAMU/LA-Lafayette football game Saturday (and getting a
t-shirt!). Then Jason's sister, singer-songwriter
Jocelyn is going to be visiting.

|
September
2, 2006 - Jason's mom is in town and we spent today in Tuscaloosa tailgating before the Alabama/Hawaii football
game. No luck getting tickets but we
met some nice folks on the quad, watched the game with them, and had a
wonderful time. See pic below of the first game
in the newly renovated Bryant-Denny Stadium. We spent a few hours walking
around looking for tickets.

August
27, 2006 - Jason's mom is visiting this week! And it's the 1st week of college
football! And classes start at
Tricia's school! And classes start at
Jason's school! Very busy, but we
plan to relax Saturday at the Alabama/Hawaii football game in Tuscaloosa.

August
20, 2006 - We have an exciting (and busy) next 8 weeks planned. School starts this week and then it's:
Jason's mom visit, Tricia's parents visit, a visit to Nashville,
TN, a visit to Gainesville, FL, and a visit to College Station, TX. Wish us luck
and be sure to check back for pictures!

August
10, 2006 - Welcome to our website! It's been an exciting summer for
us. We spent 10 days in Japan visiting Jason's friend Carrot, 5 days in Michigan
visiting Jason's family and friends, and 5 days in Maryland visiting Tricia's family and friends. Be sure to check out the pictures!
